DESCRIPTION
One in ten Canadians are diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and many others are at risk – The Kidney Foundation of Canada works to increase awareness and support those with CKD. The Kidney Foundation of Canada is a national volunteer based organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

We are looking for Committee Member Volunteers who will be responsible for assisting with our Kidney Walk in Moncton that takes place in September.

Why we need your assistance: We need dedicated volunteers who are willing to assist in further developing the success of the Foundation by contributing to planning, fundraising and promoting our Kidney Walk event.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skills: Commitment to the mission while understanding the purpose of the Foundation; ability to engage, motivate, and inspire people; passion for supporting events; demonstrates initiative and works collaboratively with team members; facilitation skills; financial related background or connection with CKD is an asset.
Requirements: Works collaboratively with Chapter and or Branch staff; work on activities that align with the Foundation?s strategic plan; attend meetings involved with the planning process; assist with events, pre-planning day-of, and follow up; soliciting and collecting silent auction items; speaking opportunities on behalf of the Foundation.
