DESCRIPTION
Side walkers walk beside a disabled rider providing support as required. Horse handlers control the horse with a disabled rider on its back.
Skills and requirements

At least 15 years of age. Able to walk in a sandy arena at a horse’s walking pace for 30 – 40 minutes. Comfortable working with persons with disabilities and near horses.Horse handlers need at least 3 to 4 years of experience handling horses. Basic Criminal Record Check [no charge for our volunteers].
