The population of the area we cover in southeast New Brunswick is not dense. The organizations that eventually formed Urban\/Rural Rides<\/strong> started as an initiative to help fill that gap primarily for the rural areas, because they don\u2019t have any bus systems, the trains don\u2019t stop in the rural areas, and they don\u2019t have taxis. It leaves a vast portion of our population without transportation, so unless their neighbours drive them, or if a senior\u2019s adult children take time off work to drive them, they are isolated. They\u2019re cut off from services that they need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
