DESCRIPTION:CMHA of NB recently partnered with UNB (Dr. Petrea Taylor) in support from the NB Health Research Foundation to conduct a study on women in suicidality in NB\, including how they seek help\, what is helpful\, their needs\, and how we can best support those experiencing on-going thoughts or risk of suicide. \nThis community forum\, which will be the first event in Moncton as part of Mental Health Week 2023 will highlight the research findings from this study for NB\, including information from the researchers\, women who participated in the study and an opportunity for service providers or the community to engage in a dialogue of how we can evolve to provide support\, as well as next steps to move this research forward.\nThe registration link for the event can be found here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/2d760390-5e7b-450b-87c0-ab020b752ca8

If you were interested in a group or individual presentation\, or in a consultation\, please enquire for further information. \nObligations of Registered Charities – Tuesday\, May 10 (9am to 10:30am) \nThe focus of this presentation is to highlight the responsibilities that accompany registered status such as devotion of resources to charitable purposes and activities\, other acceptable activities such as fundraising and related business\, receipting for gifts\, the filing of the T3010 Annual Information Return\, and maintaining adequate books. \nCOST: $60 per person/$125 per organization (max. three people) \nFinancial Reporting for Registered Charities – Wednesday\, May 11 (9am to 10:30am) \nThis presentation focuses on the required financial reporting that accompanies registered charitable status. Topics include an overview of the regulatory environment for registered charities\, key details for financial statements\, completion of the T3010 Information Return including expense allocation\, and common T3010 reporting errors. \nCOST: $60 per person/$125 per organization (max. three people) \nDeveloping a Fundraising Plan – Thursday\, May 11 (9am to 10:30am) \nThis presentation is tailored for organizations looking to launch a formal fundraising program. Key fundamentals covered include identifying the objectives of a fundraising plan\, evaluating organizational capacity\, categorising target markets\, assessing various fundraising options\, and fundraising best practices. \nCOST: $60 per person/$125 per organization (max. three people) \nRegistering as a Charity – Tuesday\, May 16 (9am to 10:00am) \nThe focus of this presentation is to provide guidance and direction for organizations and groups considering charitable registration. Topics include the differences between a registered charity and a non-profit organization\, the advantages of registration\, alternatives to registration\, factors that can affect registration\, administrative obligations associated with charitable status\, and an overview of the charity application process. \nCOST: $50 per person/$100 per organization (max. three people) \nRegistered Charities Working with NPOs – Wednesday\, May 17 (9am to 10:00am) \nThis presentation provides clarity on the ways a registered charity can work with a non-profit organization that does not have charitable status. Topics include an overview of relevant CRA policy\, the funding environment for the charity/NPO sector\, risk considerations\, and options for collaboration.  \nCOST: $50 per person/$100 per organization (max. three people) \nHousing and Registered Charities – Thursday\, May 18 (9am to 10:00am) \nThe presentation focuses on the provision of housing by a registered charity. DESCRIPTION:Epoch Chemistry organise une dégustation de café le samedi 27 mai à 9 h pour appuyer les déménageurs du Grand Moncton. \nLes guides expérimentés d’Epoch Chemistry vous guideront à travers les étapes de l’infusion\, de la dégustation et de la compréhension des saveurs et des arômes uniques du café d’une région. Ils vous enseigneront également comment reproduire ces boissons impressionnantes\, ce qui vous donnera l’impression d’être un connaisseur en matière de café. \nTous les profits iront au soutien des survivant.e.s d’abus dans le Grand Moncton. \nCet événement est ouvert au public. Les billets coûtent 40 $ par personne et doivent être achetés à l’avance. \nFaits saillants \n\nLes déménageurs 2 200 bénévoles déplacent 129 familles en crise chaque mois. Ils sont essentiels pour que l’organisme puisse continuer à soutenir les survivantes de violence sexiste et leurs familles.\nLes survivants de conflits familiaux et de violence conjugale représentent jusqu’à 37 % des personnes sans abri au Nouveau-Brunswick.\nLes plus de 60 bénévoles de Shelter Movers Greater Moncton ont déjà aidé plus de 40 clientes\, leurs enfants et leurs animaux de compagnie dans leur cheminement vers une vie sans violence.\n\nLiens connexes :\n● inscription à l’événement\n● Faire un don\n● Bévévolat \nÀ propos de Transit Secours : Transit Secours est un organisme de bienfaisance national dirigé par des bénévoles qui offre gratuitement des services de déménagement et d’entreposage aux personnes et aux familles qui fuient la violence.
