Ronald McDonald House Charities® Atlantic is currently inviting applications for the position of Family Room Volunteer at the Family Room in The Moncton Hospital.
The Opportunity
The primary responsibility of the Family Room Volunteer is to provide a warm and welcoming environment for the families who use the Ronald McDonald Family Room in The Moncton Hospital. You will be responsible for making families feel comfortable and supported, communicating with families, completing administrative and reception duties, and assisting with the smooth operation of the Family Room.
Skills and requirements
The Family Room Volunteer is an individual who is engaging, personable, and has a positive energy. Must also be responsible, reliable and compassionate. Needs to feel comfortable greeting families, providing guest support, and completing administrative tasks. Administrate experience and customer service experience is an asset.
• Create warm and welcoming environment for families
• Customer service – greeting and assisting all guests of the Family Room
• Office administration – answering phone, taking messages, making books
• Providing a tour of the Family Room
• Baking/light cooking when needed
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Volunteer Coordinator
