Bring your treats to the street
Dear Families,
Halloween is a magical time, but for many children, it can also be a challenge. This year, TREAT
ACCESSIBLY is making sure that EVERY CHILD, regardless of their abilities, can experience the joy
and fun of trick-or-treating!
For some children, traditional Halloween activities can be difcult. Whether it’s navigating stairs,
dealing with sensory overload, or accessing treats that aren’t within reach, many kids are left out of
the fun. That’s why Treat Accessibly is here to create a Halloween where every child can participate,
without limitations.
Did you know that one in ve Canadian families has a child with a disability? It’s why Treat
Accessibly was created: to offer kids of all abilities a chance to experience Halloween in a way that’s
comfortable, safe, and just as fun as anyone else’s. Starting with one small sign in 2017, this initiative
has grown to reach 100,000 homes last year, making neighborhoods more welcoming for all
children.
With accessible pathways, treat stations within reach for every child, and sensory-friendly
environments, Treat Accessibly is designed so that no child misses out. Halloween should be about
joy and laughter, and that’s exactly what we’re making sure happens for every child, especially those
who face obstacles to enjoying a regular Halloween.
This Halloween, let’s come together to make sure that all kids can ll their treat bags, share smiles,
and feel like they truly belong. Join us and celebrate a night where every child gets to take part in the
magic!
We look forward to seeing your family there for a night of fun and inclusion!
With spooky excitement,
RE/MAX Avante
