DESCRIPTION
Habitat ReStores sell quality, new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor items and building materials to the public at great prices. ReStore proceeds help cover Habitat’s administrative costs to support local building projects that provide more families with safe, decent and affordable housing. Volunteers at our ReStores assist with a number of different tasks involving the preparation materials for sale, customer service, sorting & organizing inventory, and housekeeping. Below are brief job descriptions of each role volunteers may be asked to fill.
Customer Service Volunteer
This is the perfect position for a people person. This is for those who like interacting with customers and have an eye for organization of merchandise. With this position, volunteers are working under the supervision of the ReStore manager and is suitable for a person that likes to take charge and can work independently. The everyday tasks include but are not limited to:
Greeting customers
Aiding customers in item location
Organizing merchandise in the showroom
Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store
