Did You Know?
- 1 in 6 children in Canada cannot participate in traditional trick-or-treating due to mobility issues and accessibility challenges.
- This event ensures every child can experience the magic of Halloween in a safe and welcoming environment with accessible treat stations, sensory-friendly activities, and much more.
I’m reaching out on behalf of the RE/MAX Avante office as we’re thrilled to be hosting New Brunswick’s first Treat Accessibly event. This special initiative, powered by RE/MAX Canada, aims to create an inclusive and accessible trick-or-treating experience for children with disabilities in our community.
The event will take place on October 27th, 2024, from 2-4 pm, in the RE/MAX Avante big parking lot and we’re inviting local businesses/organizations to join us by sponsoring a tent or donating treats. Your sponsorship will help us create a fun, safe, and memorable event for the children and their families. We’re aiming to have 20 businesses participate, each setting up a station where kids can collect treats, play inclusive games, or enjoy a special Halloween experience.
How You Can Get Involved:
- Sponsor a Tent: Set up a tent (with or without your branded logo) and table at the event where you can engage with the community, hand out treats, and showcase your support for inclusion.
- Donate Treats or Supplies: If you can’t attend the event, consider donating candies or Halloween supplies to ensure we have enough for all the children attending. (Peanut-Free please)
If you’re interested in participating or learning more, please feel free to contact me. I would love to discuss how we can work together to make this an unforgettable experience for the kids.
Together, we can make Halloween accessible for all children in our community!
