Every year The Salvation Army in Moncton sends 55 children (ages 6-12) who wouldn’t otherwise afford the opportunity, to Summer Blast Camp. Campers bunk in cabins at Scotian Glen on the banks of Sutherland’s River near New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
Each child is equipped with new clothing, a sleeping bag and pillow, toiletries and a duffle bag, plus transportationand registration so that there is absolutely no financial burden placed on families already struggling to make endsmeet.
Children enjoy arts and crafts, music, dance, outdoor pursuits, campfires and valuable life lessons.
