Screening & Requirements

Let volunteers know what checks, consent, or certifications are required before they begin.

Important Screening Check Information

If a Criminal Record Check (CRC) and/or Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is required, the organization must provide the volunteer with a letter confirming their volunteer placement in order to waive the cost of the verification check where applicable. When both a Criminal Record Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check are required, they should be requested at the same time. Only one clearance document will be issued, and the Vulnerable Sector Check clearance covers both requirements. The Social Development Vulnerable Sector Check is always the responsibility of the agency/organization to submit on behalf of the volunteer. The application must be signed by the volunteer and include the organization's contact information. A separate organization letter is not required for the Social Development Vulnerable Sector Check process.
Check all that apply.
Please describe any other requirements volunteers must complete before participating.
