These are people who are living and have adjusted well to a mobility disability and are willing to share what they’ve learned with someone who may be newly injured or diagnosed with a mobility disability. Our next training date for new mentors will be November 2 – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and the monthly volunteer expectation is 1-2 hours per month.

Hi my village. With my two free Community Sports Programs starting in a couple of weeks, I am looking once again this year for volunteers for the first sport of the program : hall monitors, indoor soccer referees and helpers. Tentative days and times are :
1) Forest Glen school : Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday( 5:30-6:30 pm, 6:30-7:30 pm and 7:30-8:30 pm). There might be a few Thursdays and Fridays.

The Boutique Hospice Shoppe is a “high-end” second-hand store with a boutique atmosphere offering clothing for men, women and children, accessories, electronics, furniture, décor, kitchenware, books and more. The shoppe relies on volunteers to help with sorting, customer service, merchandising, ironing and cleaning. The shoppe is open seven days a week and has a need for volunteers on Saturday and Sunday to assist the staff.

We are looking for someone who speaks Arabic to connect with a newcomer to Moncton who has sight loss. Through CNIB’s Vision Mate program, volunteers are matched with a person who is blind or partially sighted. The connection can be for get-togethers, walks or general community outings.

A greeter is required at the Hospice. Duties include ensuring that visitors sign in prior to entering the Hospice. No skills are required although a pleasant, friendly demeanour is necessary as the greeter is often the first face the public sees when entering the Hospice facility.

The purpose of our program is to provide Respite Care Services to families of children (0-21 years old) with developmental disabilities (ex. Autistic, ADHD, Down syndrome). To reach that goal, a family is carefully matched with a volunteer that can meet the family’s needs. The hours required to spend with a child is between 2 and 48 hours a month.
